The dialup access path from the subscribers to the ISPís Remote Access Server (RAS) is traditionally through the pool of telephone numbers connecting from local exchanges to the analog ports of RAS. To avoid this analog connectivity, E1 ports of the local exchange can be connected to the RAS. BTCL installed some G.SHDSL equipment for driving PSTN E1 to the ISP premises. The E1 line drivers will be provided through commonly known telephone cable. In the first phase, E1 line drivers will be available at the ISPs located at Uttara, Nilkhet, Gulshan, Moghbazar, Ramna and Sher-E-Bangla Nagar Exchange area. The ISP-populated other exchange areas will be covered in phases.
For this E1 connectivity, ISPs are required to apply with necessary documents to Director (Wireless), Telejogajog Bhaban, 37/E Eskaton Garden, Ramna, Dhaka 1000.
